Common Rooms
Jamieson House features a generous number of large rooms fit to accommodate a variety of events from retreats, business and board meetings and family parties to wedding receptions, golden anniversaries, and gaming marathons. We can seat everyone around one large table, set up multiple meeting or socializing places across the house, or accommodate large parties in our sun room.

Added during its restaurant heyday a few decades back, the newest room in the Jamieson House lends itself well to receptions, performances, speeches, and presentations. We dubbed it the sun room because of the proliferation of windows on three sides of this long room that stretches across the back end of the house. Now it serves as a reception or large meeting room; any event at which your guests would sit at multiple tables. When appropriate, there’s a bar available, and the seating can accomodate up to 60 people for a buffet meal or a more formal sit-down event.
Most breakfasts are served to our overnight guests in the well-appointed formal dining room, with its long, large, wooden table, and high-backed medieval style chairs. The room is also a wonderful venue for dinner parties or shorter off-site meetings for up to ten guests.
Furnished with classic chairs, settees, and small couches, this room is ideal for a sizeable, yet still casual event. We’ve got our 32” television with VCR/DVD player sitting at one end, if that helps make your party or presentation. Seating available for ten to twenty.
The Bank
Another large, long, wooden table takes up a good deal of what was once
the only bank in Poynette. These days it works best for longer business
meetings, for board and card game play, or for craft weekends where
you’ve got a lot of fabric or scrapbook materials to lay out.
Seating available for twelve.
